Workshops
At-Bristol's school workshops are available for pre-school to Post 16 students and support a visit to At-Bristol. Presented by trained science communicators, our range of workshops provides engaging investigative skills in a range of broad, cross-curricula contexts. Workshops are available Monday to Friday during term time and are available for groups of between 12 and 35 students (unless otherwise stated).
Fossil finders
Discover the magic of prehistoric worlds through playful and imaginative games and activities in this hands-on workshop. Pupils will move like dinosaurs, search for fossils in our dig-pits and find out about the amazing creatures that once roamed the Earth.

Jungle senses
See, hear, smell and touch the rainforest in this hands-on workshop that teaches pupils about what lives and grows in the rainforest. Children will recreate the sounds of the jungle, discover the creepy crawlies that live there and make their own jungle animal to take home with them.

With a world map and globe as their guide, pupils will travel the world in this multi-sensory, imaginative workshop. Pupils will handle unusual artefacts, take part in exciting stories and write a postcard to send home.

Shows
At-Bristol offers a range of exciting presenter-led science shows to enhance your visit. Shows are specially designed for school groups and include lively fun demonstrations and lots of audience participation
Space Stories
Join Ernest the Bear as he sets out to visit the Moon and discovers the planets and stars. Space stories is a multi-sensory, interactive Planetarium show specially designed for KS1 and SEN (special education needs) groups.
Max: 86 students per session.
Cost: Free with a ticket to Explore.
Duration: 20 minutes.
