At-Bristol exhibition sure to be roaring fun!

Wed 30 June 2010

Fossils and Funnybones, an exciting archaeological exhibition for under eights’, will be opening on the 26 June in At-Bristol.

Fossils and funnybones!

The exhibition, which will be replacing In the Jungle, gives our young visitors the chance to try their hand at archaeology and dig for fossils while learning about the different types of life that were around millions of years ago.  Part of the Let’s Imagine series, which was funded by the Millennium Commission through a ReDiscover grant, it invites visitors to delve into the wonderful world of make believe with themed areas and plenty of storytelling space.

Bronwen Bird, Exhibition Manager of At-Bristol, stated: “It’s great to have Fossils and Funnybones back as it was so popular.” She adds: “It has lots of investigation stations where you can explore fascinating extinct creatures - giving budding Palaeontologists a hands-on opportunity to learn some skills!”

With a campfire, animal remains and plenty of costumes from huge prehistoric mammals to fearsome dinosaurs - you can unleash your inner T-Rex and dress up like a dinosaur which is sure to be roaring fun for all!
