Ticket and visiting information
Do I have to pay to see the Planetarium?
No. The Planetarium shows are included in admission. We recommend the show for adults and children aged five and over.
How many people are included in a family ticket?
Two adults and two children, or one adult and three children.
Do you have a special ticket for Grandparents and Grandchildren?
Yes we do! We do a Grandparents' family ticket for £31.90 (with Gift Aid). Tickets are valid for two Grandparents and two Grandchildren, or one Grandparent and three Grandchildren. A Grandchild is aged three to 15 inclusive.
Who qualifies for the concession rate?
Aged 60 and over, people who are registered disabled, people who are unemployed and students. Please note you will be required to provide appropriate and valid identification on arrival.
Do you offer free admission for dedicated assistant’s or carers?
Yes we do! Please advise us that you are a dedicated assistant or carer when you arrive.
What is the age limit for a child?
A child is aged three to 15 inclusive. Children aged two and under have free admission to At-Bristol.
Please note that children aged 11 or under must be accompanied by an adult to visit At-Bristol.
When are my tickets valid for?
Tickets are valid for the day of your visit and can be used to re-enter At-Bristol throughout the day.
Do you offer a group rate?
Yes. We offer a reduced rate for groups of 10 or more. To make a booking, please call 0845 345 1235 (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, except bank holidays). Find out more about group bookings to visit At-Bristol.
How much time do I need to allow for my visit?
We recommend allowing between two and four hours for your visit, plus 25 minutes for a Planetarium show.
Buying tickets
Can I buy tickets online?
Yes. You can buy your tickets online; this gives you express entry and gives you the opportunity to book your spaces to see our Planetarium show, which has limited capacity.
Can I use my coupon/voucher with online tickets?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to accept coupons or vouchers online. We hope to in the future, so watch this space!
Can I buy gift vouchers online?
Not at the moment, although we do hope to in the near future. Gift vouchers can be bought in our shop and are a great gift for any occasion.

How can I pay for online tickets?
We accept a variety of card payments, including:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- Maestro
- Solo
- Visa Electron
- Delta
Online booking is temporarily unavailable, what does this mean?
Occassionally ticket booking may not be available online, if you wish to book tickets contact us, or try booking online in a short while.
Is online booking secure?
Your card details are only captured over a secure connection (normally indicated by a padlock in the url or status bar of your browser). These are then passed securely to our secure payment gateway SagePay. We do not save your card details.
When I make a payment, I am taken away from your site, why does this happen?
If your card is part of the Verified by VISA or Secured by Mastercard scheme you may be redirected to your card provider (bank) who may ask for additional security information before allowing the transaction to be processed.
What happens after I have paid?
You will be given a booking reference number on the confirmation page. Please bring your printed confirmation or your ticket reference number, along with appropriate and valid ID on the day of your visit. You will also be sent the same confirmation to the email you entered during checkout.
How do I gain entry with online tickets?
Please bring your printed confirmation email or your ticket reference number and appropriate and valid ID. You can pick up your tickets from the online ticketing desk within the entrance foyer.
Can I change my booking?
Once your booking has been confirmed, it is not possible for you to change it.
What is your refund policy for online tickets?
As a registered charity we are unable to refund tickets, please see our booking terms and conditions. For further details please contact us on 0845 345 1235. 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, except bank holidays.
Gift Aid
What happens if I Gift Aid my ticket?
If you are a UK taxpayer and make a donation of at least 10%, At-Bristol can claim an extra 25p in every pound of your admission from the Government. It’s called a Gift Aid visit and it makes a massive difference to charities like us.
As a big thank you, we will give more than the 10% back to you in vouchers when you arrive, to spend in the shop or café.
Your thank you vouchers will be with your tickets to collect upon arrival.

At-Bristol is a registered charity (no. 1049954) and one of the UK’s leading science and discovery centres, where exploration and education go hand in hand with an unforgettable, fun day out.
At-Bristol receives no direct central Government funding. All monies raised through ticket or shop sales, venue hire and weddings, and through donations are reinvested back into At-Bristol and help us to achieve our mission of making science accessible to all.
